After a grand jury inquiry, governor Ron DeSantis dismissed school board members

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018 was the subject of the investigation

On February 14, 2018, 14 students and three teachers were murdered at the school

To replace those who were suspended from the board, the governor selected four new members

It is my duty to suspend people from office when there is clear evidence of incompetence, neglect of duty or misfeasance

Students are still attending classes in mouldy, dilapidated, hazardous buildings that were supposed to have been rebuilt years ago

These are undesirable behaviours from school board members who have a history of encouraging inappropriate conduct

The Florida Supreme Court established the 20th Statewide Grand Jury in February 2019

The gunman pleaded guilty, and the punishment part of his trial has begun

The grand jury was given the following instructions: "probe four subjects, including whether public organisations and school workers committed fraud."
